Title: IDEK?
Fandom: BtVS (Spike/Xander)
Rating: Rish? (Eventually, I swear)
Word Count: 1200 (total for the 3 related ficlets)

A/N: So I started playing with [livejournal.com profile] 15_minute_fics today to distract myself and thought that maybe I could do some Spander, since it's [livejournal.com profile] sublimatedangel's birthday. I, er... well, I tried, hon! LJ wouldn't let me post this earlier, but I tried to do that too - happy belated bday!

(Unbeated, so read at your own risk!)

I don't rec often. I'm not good at it, really, because I can never figure out what to say, even when something moves me hugely.

This vid moved me. Hugely. It also maybe broke me a little, but in a good way.

If you're any flavor of Buffy fan, go watch Some Peace.

Seriously.

::shoots more commentfic into the abyss:: (And no, I have no idea where it's all coming from. I've added more than thousand words to Winsync in the last couple of days too.)

[livejournal.com profile] summerofsoaps asked for BtVS/AtS, Angelus, the apocalypse is never as great as you expect it to be

Zombies, Angelus muttered to himself, were supposed to be fun. He had that on good authority.

He watched them lumber around the quad, their movements slow and clumsy. Stupid. It made absolutely no sense that they kept catching students to feast on, but catch them they did.

A fine mist of gray matter swirled in his nose like heavy fog. Blood and viscera covered the cobblestones. Angelus felt a twist of homesickness in his gut and tried to welcome it, but the damn zombies were determined to ruin that too, vapid beasts hunched over everywhere he could see, whining about brains-this and brains-that.

He tore the head off one when it bumped into him, not giving a fuck that they were supposed to be on the same side.

Hell, I brought them into the world, I can damn well take 'em out. The thought made him giggle, and he stalked across the quad toward the science department, humming jauntily and ripping heads off all along the way.

A feral grin flashed across Angelus' face, frightening a student as she ran past, if not the idiotic zombies she fled from. Plans change; his partners in the Watcher's Council would just have to understand that.

Maybe he could find a way to make zombies fun after all.

And I actually mean goodness! [livejournal.com profile] solvent90 just wrote for a [livejournal.com profile] commentfic prompt I left a few months ago, and she's produced a wonderful moment in their future. The fic's a little rough around the edges (it's comment!fic, not polished!fic, after all), but it's beautifully drawn with a believably happy Buffy and a useful, thoughtful Angel,  and a bit of a woobie!Spike, and I need to stop now because I'm probably giving too much away, but I want to believe in her version of their future and you will too.

So go read it.

Apparently, one was not enough for me today. My brain must be liking the three sentence limit, even if it's choosing to define "sentence" very loosely.

BtvS/Supernatural, Giles/John, nesting for [livejournal.com profile] toestastegood on [livejournal.com profile] commentfic

John watched through half closed eyes, spent and boneless, collapsed on the floor because his knees would no longer hold him, pants sill caught up on his boots, as the librarian picked up the books they’d strewn across the floor, slotting and sorting his way back into whatever passed for normal in his tweedy world.

A large, leather-clad volume titled ‘Deaomnis Liberte’ entered his field of view accompanied by a very British throat-clearing noise, “Yes, well… I do believe this volume contains what you’re looking for, Mr. Winchester.” The man had somehow made himself presentable again, tucked and tidied, but his hair was sticking up in back and his neck was still flushed with heat and John thought that even if the man hadn’t had an outstanding arcane collection, he’d still be looking for an excuse to pass through Sunnydale again very soon.
