Yay, Yuletide!
I've been meaning to write one of these every year and this year I finally did:
Dear Yuletide Writer,
I'm feeling boring here because I asked for some of the same things I asked for last year (and my gifts last year rocked, so it's not that!), but I can't help it—I want more.
I know everybody says this, Dear Writer, but please follow your muse. Spending time with these characters again will make me dance with glee, and I'll love whatever you decide to get them involved in. That said, I understand that sometimes the muses don't dangling something pretty in front of your eyes on their own...
Blood Ties: Push and pull, Mike and Henry. I love these two together. I love Henry pushing buttons and Mike not being anyone's fool, but sometime letting people think so, for a while. I'd love the slow slide of Mike realizing what he wants and sucker punching Henry with it. I'd also love Henry actively pursuing Mike and Mike resisting all the way, until he can't any more. Or turn that on its head and Mike pursues Henry and how long do you think it'd take Henry to realize that? I'd also love circumstances tossing them together (righteous bloodlust can be so much fun)… or Vicki being in the middle (literally or figuratively, actually. I really like Vicki too). Or them realizing that she's not the glue holding them together anymore. Anything where Henry needs to feed on Mike is gonna get my vote… the list goes on and on.
Eureka: Eureka is a town so ripe for clichés, and, bless them, they go there on their own. I so love them for it, but what they're lacking (sometimes, anyway) is follow through (especially of a more adult nature). It makes the twisty centers of my brain hungry. Maybe Jack has to act as Nathan's bodyguard, constantly in his space. Or Jack's undercover, investigating an S&M club and finds Nathan there… holding court. Aliens take over the town and Nathan protects Jack without him knowing by taking him as a vassal (that one can be as clean or dirty as you'd like and it'll work for me). Or they realize their attraction because everyone keeps acting like they’re a couple… The possibilities really are endless. Blast. There's no Nathan listed in the characters for Eureka. I should start paying attention during nominations!
Justified: Ah, Raylan, I do so love your dysfunctional ass. I have a penchant to see you with someone who'd help stabilize you (a bit, not too much, or you wouldn't be Raylan)… which is probably why I'd like to see you interacting with a little girl. You are clearly the most stable thing in her life, and she'd realized how f'd up that is but is the type to hold on, regardless. I'd really love to watch her.
I think Tim'd be very good for you, too, but there should be more naked fun time (or at least the potential for future naked fun times) in that story, because you so deserve to get laid by someone who isn't really trying to "fix" you and who you won't break if you really grab a hold of...
Rookie Blue: Sam is a gravity well Andy can't escape; I'd love his POV on that or, as I said in the signup something set while she was still with Luke and Sam's watching her struggle, or maybe something playing with undercover tropes.
Once again, Dearest Writer, I am going to be so happy to see the goat prance in with any of these people on Yuletide morning, it really doesn't matter what you write!
