ailise . She's the one who whispered in my ear after the movie about how cool it would be if River came back into Mal's life years later, all grown up.
I have been looking for that story ever since, with pretty abysmal luck. Well, that's a-changin' because the lovelyphantisma wrote one for me!
It features a broken!Mal and a finally-at-home-in-her-skin!River riding in to the rescue. Also lovely character voice, dialogue that feels like the show, and more than a smattering of hotness sprinkled in for flavor. YUM.
